Welcome to a page of my enjoy!
Walking toward each other in the Pensacola historical district square, at the "Night in Seville Square" Florida festival, surrounded by booths, carnival games and rides, popcorn, and cotton candy blanketed by the darkness of night, met two destined lovers. Ronald stopped at a W.C.O.A. radio booth, where he was the Five-hundredth person to pass by. While Ronald stood there with Tom his navy buddy, Ron had a grand old American flag, proudly placed in his hands by the radio man. Maria, ex-Marine, and her little cousin Linda, cut across the busy little park. While heading toward the family's gray house Maria met her future husband Ronald. Ronald stood there in a Navy uniform, carrying that flag on a pole, with snockered look because of one low tolerated drink, the flag began to slip and reach for the ground. "Hey, Swabbee, don't let that flag touch the ground," Maria hollered. Ronald staggered around, "What did you say?" "I said, 'Swabbee, don't let that flag touch the ground' " walking toward each other, Maria and Ronald conversed in small moments. Exchanging numbers, they separated; that next afternoon there was a phone call when Maria came home from work; it was Ronald asking if she remembered him. She did, while secretly reading a piece of paper with his name on it. That night they spent a date at the "Rosey O'Gradys" nightclub. The next night it was the movies. The third night straight was on a front porch, in front of Maria's Aunt Grace's house. At midnight Ronald asked her to marry him; "Ask again later," she replied. From Midnight to two A.M. she told him of all her flaws, again he asked her for marriage; "Ask again later," she again answered. Two A.M. to four A.M. they talked about Ron's childhood and life stories, again he asked her for marriage; "Ask again later," she repeated. They talked till six A.M. about their families' history and their moral beliefs, then at six A.M. the same question asked; "Yes" she finally answered! They were married six weeks later. Two days later, Ronald's ship left for Cuba. They were reunited that next Christmas, and they have enjoyed their gifts for twenty-five plus years since.
