Prom Royalty

Hank at the speed of light, rushed toward his cluttered closet pulling out his tux, as he prepared for the big night at hand. His movements were blurred in the reflection of a mirror he zoomed past. Hank quickly brushed his teeth, hair, splashed on some cologne, then sweating profusely he thought about the night and the Prom. He then checked his hair for the final and fifth time, putting on his tux he griped his Prom ticket in his hand like it was his ticket toward a brand new life. The last thing he thought about before leaving the house, was what was going on with Janice's life at that moment. Janice raced like a speed demon around her house, fitting into her violet dress tightly, she ran toward her make-up, lipstick, spraying on perfume, and making sure her newly done hair was in place. This preparation all in due so she could look so good for the Prom. She thought also about what her boyfriend Hank was doing while she waited for him to pick her up. "Jack are you ready? The Prom is in an hour!" spoke John, "Hey, you need any money, son?" Hank responded "Yea, Thanks dad! I'm leaving right now, don't wait up!" Inside Hank's red corvette, Hank smelled the roses he had brought for Janice as their scent was like the perfume Janice wore, his favorite. Arriving at Janice's house her parents ran outside taking pictures as the two superstars stood there before going to their prom. They arrived at the Prom, entering they heard the assorted music playing and not noticing the decorations they were taken in by each others' beauty as they began to dance. Later near the sparkling punch bowl, Hank poured some punch into a cup for Janice. They were content and happy to be together on this special day. They were crowned King and Queen of the Prom. Royalty now, they reigned over their kingdom in majesty while their court danced with the jester who entertained them till the time of the great dance. Later, they continued to dance in other ways in their reign after the Prom, but nine months later the King now gone off on a long voyage never to return, leaving behind the Queen all alone with the King's heir. The only thing to keep her going was the echo in her mind as she heard a long lost court shouting, "Hail to the Queen!"
