The Poet





	I do 

	not

	write poetry.



	Poetry writes me.



	Going and doing,

	what it wants.

	While it moves me,

	along where I go.



	This is life and scenery,

	which confronts me.



	Though this it tries and tires,

	my eyes and it elopes,

	my soul.



	Puzzling me they fit

	it's words,

	this poetry.



	Poetry is what the world,

	can never control.



	Everything it is, 

	it has seen,

	the world and sky is it's domain.



	There is no escape,

	from poetry.



	It will fill you.

	Take you and move you.



	Never,

	try to run from it.

	No chance,

	don't bother.



	Poetry controls us,

	it controls me.



	I do

	not

	write poetry.



	Poetry writes me.
